Deb Whitworth of GHS Data Management Certified as Senior Professional in Human Resources

Deborah L. Whitworth, the vice president for human resources at GHS Data Management, an Augusta-based technology company part of The Waldron Group of Companies in Falmouth, has earned certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources.

The certification, awarded by the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI), signifies that Whitworth possesses a high level of theoretical knowledge and practical experience in human resources management. She passed a rigorous, comprehensive examination to become certified.

HRCI is the credentialing body for human resource professionals. Its purpose is to promote the establishment of professional standards and to recognize professionals who meet those standards.

Whitworth, who joined GHS in 1999, has more than 22 years in human resources. She previously served as director of human resources at SCC, now I-Many, and as regional manager for human resources at Central Maine Medical Center. Whitworth serves as secretary of the Human Resources Association of Southern Maine, and as a director for the Maine State Council of the Society for Human Resources Management. A resident of Raymond, Whitworth serves as president of the Foster Family Connection. She is a 1979 graduate of Kent State University in Ohio.

GHS Data Management Named Finalist for Nationwide E-business Technology Award

Augusta-based firm joined by Ford Motor, US Airways and GMAC on list of 12 companies in contention

AUGUSTA, Maine – GHS Data Management, an Augusta-based technology company, has been named a finalist for a national award that recognizes companies for excellence in the use of content management to enhance e-business.

GHS is one of 12 finalists for the annual Best Practices Awards, sponsored by The Association for Information and Image Management (AIIM) International in Silver Spring, Md., an industry association connecting users and suppliers of e-business technologies and services. AIIM will select the top four awards March 7 in San Francisco.
