John Grotton, R.Ph., Executive Vice President
John Grotton was named Executive Vice President in 2006. He is responsible for direct oversight of GHS’ pharmacy operations. His 35-plus years in the pharmaceutical industry, including 20 years in retail pharmacies and 15 years in the Medicaid industry, provide him with unique insights into GHS services. He served as the Vice President at Community Pharmacies, LP, a retail pharmacy in Maine until 2006.
John is a graduate of the college of pharmacy at Northeastern University and is a licensed pharmacist in two states. He has worked as a district supervisor for two large retail pharmacy chains and as a pharmacy intern in a large metropolitan hospital. John is a past president of the Maine Board of Pharmacy, and sits on the state's Drug Utilization Review Committee. He is a member of the Maine Pharmacy Association.
