John Grotton, R.Ph., Executive Vice President
John Grotton was named Executive Vice President in 2006. He is responsible for direct oversight of GHS’ pharmacy operations. His 20-plus years in the pharmaceutical industry provide him with unique insights into GHS services. He served as the Vice President at Community Pharmacies, LP, a retail pharmacy in Maine until 2006.
John is a graduate of the college of pharmacy at Northeastern University and is a licensed pharmacist in two states. He has worked as a district supervisor for two large retail pharmacy chains and as a pharmacy intern in a large metropolitan hospital. John is a former president of the Maine Board of Pharmacy, and he formerly served on the state's Drug Utilization Review Committee. He is a member of the Maine Pharmacy Association.
