Jeffery Barkin, M.D., Associate Medical Director
Dr. Barkin oversees Clinical Programs and Medical Prior Authorizations for State Medicaid Agencies in consultation with other members of Goold’s clinical team. Dr. Barkin maintains a part-time clinical practice specializing in Psychiatry. Prior to joining GHS he focused on clinical and forensic psychiatry, health care policy and analysis as well as consultation and teaching.
Dr. Barkin is Board Certified in both Psychiatry and Geriatric Psychiatry. He serves as Chairman of the Maine Psychiatric Workgroup. He is also a member of the American Psychiatric Association, the American society of Clinical Psychopharmacology and the American Neuropsychiatric Association.
Dr. Barkin received his undergraduate degree from Swarthmore College and his Medical Degree from the Yale University School of Medicine.
